It’s great for printing block letters and larger spot-color designs. 110 mesh lays a fairly thick layer of ink down. The most standard mesh counts in screen printing are 110 and 156. Got more questions about mesh count? Here’s a quick guide: MOST VERSATILE MESH COUNTS A thick ink printed through a high mesh count will take much more effort to create a good ink layer on the shirt. Thicker inks, like white plastisol ink, should be printed through low mesh counts. Thin ink will flood through larger holes in low mesh count screens, blurring the image. Thinner ink, like water-based ink, should also be printed through a high mesh count. Those fine dots of detail will fall through the holes in low mesh count screens. Images with high detail should use screens with a higher mesh count. The mesh count screen printers use changes depending on the level of detail in a design and the thickness of ink used. The higher the mesh count, the finer the threads and holes are in the screen. A 110 mesh, for example, has 110 threads crossing per square inch. Mesh size is measured by how many threads of mesh cross per square inch. MESH SIZEĭifferent mesh sizes are used for different applications in the screen printing process. Aluminum frames are also lightweight, making shipping less expensive and saving money in the long run. Once cleaned, the frames can be re-stretched. The mesh and glue are simply removed from the frame using a professional tool that won’t damage the frame. This ensures a flat frame for thousands of prints.Īluminum frames can also be re-stretched many times. Unlike wood frames, aluminum frames will not warp when exposed to water. ALUMINUM FRAMESĪluminum screen printing frames are durable and have increased longevity. Screens are stretched pneumatically to industry standards using high-grade monofilament poly mesh and held using cyanoacrylate glue. The frames are sandblasted to ensure proper bonding and tension for thousands of prints. All aluminum frames use the highest grade aluminum and are cut and welded in the USA. It's really useful for information you want refer to, like an address or reference provides high-quality aluminum pre-stretched screens in various sizes and mesh counts. If pinning a selection, this will then have the captured selection hover over everything until you close it down. You'll then be shown what you've been captured, with the option to draw, share, save, and in the case of text, extract it so you can paste it elsewhere. If creating a gif, hit record, then stop when you're done. Resize or reposition the frame and press done. You'll return to the capture page with a frame for making that selection.Choose the shape or type of selection you want to make - rectangle, oval, pin to screen or (best of all) create a gif. This may take multiple swipes if you have multiple panels enabled. Open the edge panel with a swipe from the side of the screen. Then head to the page you want to capture from. You can enable multiple panel types, such as Apps too. Click into this menu and you can enable the smart select edge panel - select "Panels" then scroll right to select it.Head into settings > display > "Edge panels" and ensure this is toggled on.Smart select is an edge panel, which you can swipe into from the edge screen (when activated). If you've been a Note user in the past, some of this might sound familiar. This third method isn't a complete screenshot, but it's a very useful way of capturing information that's on the display, using a feature called smart select.
